Who I am + My Day Job
My name is Jason Occhipinti, and I am a Visual Communicator hailing from Rome, NY. I specialize in web and print design and am currently employed with BAE Systems, the largest defence contractor in the world. [1] [2] [3] From my childhood, I have loved art, and into adulthood, I gained a passion for graphic design, new media, standards-based interactive and user experience design.
Schooling...
Beyond my 9-5 full-time gig, I am also a full-time graduate student with Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), where I am working towards my MFA in graphic design through SCAD's E-Learning program.
I obtained my Bachelor of Science degree from the State University of New York, Institute of Technology (SUNYIT) in Professional and Technical Communication, which is a mix of graphic design, web design, and technical writing.
Professional Affiliations
I am also a member of the National Association of Photoshop Professionals (NAPP), SUNYIT Communication and Information Design Program Advisory Board, College Art Association, and actively participate in local events for the American Institute of Graphic Artists (AIGA).

So, that's pretty much meBesides being up to my eyeballs with work, school, and personal projects I enjoy amateur photography, jogging, weight lifting, reading, admiring all things Apple, and playing Starcraft II and Plants vs Zombies.
